Funk's Corner - Japan History
On my first trip to Japan as NWA World Champion defending
against the challenge of Antonio Inoki in 1969, My father,
Dory Funk Sr. traveled with me.
Dory Funk Sr.'s opponent was Hiro Matsuda.
I first met Osamu Nishimura in 1994
Nishimura introduced himself, "My name is Osamu Nishimura.
My teacher is Hiro Matsuda.
In the year of 2000 After the passing of Hiro Matsuda,
Osamu Nishimura came to the Funking Conservatory Wrestling
School in Ocala, Florida and asked if I would be his teacher.
April of 2008, Osamu Nishimura and Dory Funk Jr. toast to a
"New Beginning" as the Funking Conservatory is officially
recognized by All Japan Pro Wrestling as the Official
Developmental Dojo for All Japan Pro Wrestling.

私の初めての日本への試合となる旅は，1969年にアントニオ猪木との試合で
ありました。 この旅には私の父も同行し，父のドリーファンク・シニアは
ヒロ・マツダと対戦を致しました。
私がニシムラに始めてあったのは1994年です
ニシムラは自分自身で自己紹介をし私に 私の名前はオサム・ニシムラです。
私の先生はヒロマツダですといいました
2008年4月 オサム・ニシムラと私ドリーファンクジュニアはファンキングコンサバトリーが
今後発展的な活動の場としてのオフィシャルな全日本プロレスのアメリカ道場になることを祝い乾杯を致しました
