We had a wonderful time in Japan. It was our most enjoyable trip to Japan ever.
To the Wrestling Fans, All Japan Pro Wrestling Company, Shacho Keiji Mutoh (Great Muta in America), Osamu Nishimura, Masanobu Fuchi and all of the wrestlers in All Japan Pro Wrestling, Makoto ni arigato gozaimashita.
My memories of this trip will be as strong as the day I became NWA World Champion, February 11, 1969.
It was exciting from the first day at Korakuen Hall.
It is always challenging face new opponents for the first time. This was the case in Korakuen Hall when Nishimura, Fuchi and myself fought Nobutaka Araya, Hijikata Ryuji and Nobukazu Harai.
Araya was big and strong. Harai was a top technical wrestler and Hijikata Ryuji was very quick on his feet.

初日の後楽園ホールから興奮いたしました。
初日から常に新たな強い顔ぶれが私の前に現れました。
私はフチ、ニシムラと組み、荒谷選手、平井選手、土方選手と対戦いたしました。
荒谷選手は体も大きく力強さもあり、平井選手は技巧派のレスラーであり、土方選手はすばやい蹴りを繰り出す選手でした。
